Ajax v Liverpool Champions League Kick Off Time, TV Channel, News

Liverpool travel to Ajax on Wednesday night, with Jurgen Klopp’s men needing a point to book their place in the Champions League knockout stages.

A draw would guarantee second place in Group A, however, the Reds will give themselves a chance to catch Napoli if they win at the Johan Cruyff Arena.

Liverpool came on after their sad 1-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Saturday.

It looked like Liverpool had turned the corner after a slow start to the campaign, with wins over Rangers, Manchester City and West Ham. However, Forest’s loss showed the Reds could be tough for the top four this season instead of the title.

As for Ajax, they need to win – plus other results – if they are to have any hope of advancing to the knockout stages.

Alfred Schreuder’s side won their opening game against Rangers but lost three in a row.

Our prediction: Ajax vs Liverpool

Ajax will be an all-out attack on Wednesday night, only a win will be enough for the Dutch.

This will leave plenty of space for Liverpool to exploit on the counterattack. It will be an open game and there are high chances of scoring a lot of goals.

Our prediction: Ajax 2-3 Liverpool (18/1 at bet365)
