Arsenal v Fulham Premier League Kick Off Time, TV Channel, News

Two of the top-flight in-form number nines meet on Saturday as Gabriel Jesus and Arsenal host Aleksandar Mitrovic and Fulham in the final game on Saturday’s Premier League television programme.

The pair faced different pressures heading into the new season, but both answered doubters in the first weeks of the new campaign.

Jesus’ quick start to life with the Gunners has provided confidence that he will be worth the roughly £50million the north London club paid Man City this summer – scoring twice and providing three assists in of his first three games.

Mitrovic, meanwhile, has been written off as a player who can’t handle the Premier League climb – but flying high after scoring 40 league goals last season he sent a message to doubters by netting three goals in his first three Games.

Many had booked Fulham for relegation in the second flight before a ball was even kicked, but draws against Liverpool and Wolves followed by a dramatic West London Derby victory over Brentford showed they are a team that it is foolish to underestimate.

They will arrive at the Emirates unbeaten, but as Arsenal are the only team left in the league with three wins from three, maintaining that record will not be easy.

Our prediction: Arsenal vs Fulham

Given that these are two teams whose hopes for the season will likely hinge on the success of their star striker, the opening weeks of the Premier League season have been hugely encouraging for both.

Mitrovic won the number nine battle against Ivan Toney last week – picking up a late winner after the Bees striker mimicked his celebration earlier. But while he looks likely to cause the Gunners backline problems, it’s what plays out in the other box that could decide this one.

Arteta’s side quickly took down resistance from Bournemouth last week and will be keen to do the same again in front of a barking home crowd, so it could be a busy afternoon for Leno when he returns to his old club.

Our prediction: Arsenal 3-1 Fulham (11/1 at bet365)
