Chelsea v Leicester Premier League kick off time, TV channel, news

Chelsea are likely to suffer further after their FA Cup final loss to Liverpool on Sunday, with the Blues suffering heartbreak again at Wembley under Thomas Tuchel.

It was Thursday’s opponents Leicester City who beat them to the same trophy last season and that may mean a spirited performance when the two meet at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League could help them banish some demons.

Arsenal’s loss to Newcastle United last night confirmed the Blues’ top-four finish, but there is still work to be done to ensure they finish third and avoid the Champions League qualifying rounds.

Leicester recently suffered their own disappointment after being knocked out of the Europa League by Roma in the semi-final earlier this month.

They’re ready to finish in the first half and don’t have much to play for now other than building momentum for the summer and next season.

Brendan Rodgers won’t want to see his team’s standards drop, as we clearly saw against Chelsea against Leicester.

Our prediction: Chelsea v Leicester

You think we’re going to get one of two reactions from Chelsea. Either the hosts will fly away as they seek repentance after their FA Cup final defeat or they will struggle to find any motivation.

Their German manager doesn’t seem one to let the latter do it and we could well see the Blues clinch the victory which confirms third place and allows him to bleed some young players on the last day of the 2021/22 campaign.

The Foxes went wild against Norwich at the weekend, but a trip to Stamford Bridge is something else entirely.

Our prediction: Chelsea 2-1 Leicester (2/17 to bet365)
