Leeds v Aston Villa Premier League kick off time, TV channel, news

Almost a month after their last game, Leeds are back on this weekend’s Premier League TV schedule as they host Aston Villa at Elland Road.

The postponements and then the international break meant a long break for Los Blancos, who will be rested and eager to face Sunday’s clash.

They remain unbeaten at Elland Road this season – with seven points from three home games – and the Yorkshire club’s supporters will be keen to create a hostile atmosphere after some heated clashes between the two sides on their Championship days.

A 1-0 win over Southampton gave Aston Villa some much-needed momentum in the international break and relieved the pressure on Steven Gerrard.

But they have failed to take a single point on the road in three attempts this season, making Sunday’s trip to West Yorkshire a particularly tough proposition.

Our prediction: Leeds v Aston Villa

Given how long home fans have had to wait to see Leeds in action, Elland Road is expected to be noisy on Sunday.

The return of Patrick Bamford is a big boost for Jesse Marsch, who is finally able to start a front four that includes the England striker alongside Jack Harrison, Brenden Aaronson and Luis Sinisterra.

Villa have really struggled on the road this season while Los Blancos have thrived at home, suggesting the afternoon could be a tough one for Gerrard’s side.

Our prediction: Leeds 2-0 Aston Villa (12/1 at bet365)
