Liverpool v Crystal Palace Premier League Kick Off Time, TV Channel, News

Jurgen Klopp blamed the dry ground at Craven Cottage among other things after Liverpool were held to a draw by Fulham on the opening weekend, but his side will be back on the slippery grass at Anfield as part of the Premier League TV schedule this week.

The hosts will have to wait until Monday night for the chance to find their way back to winning ways and have recent history on their side for the visit to Crystal Palace.

They have won all of the last 10 Premier League meetings between the two clubs, with the Eagles barely laying a glove on Liverpool in this run.

Patrick Vieira’s side may have felt they better deserved last weekend’s 2-0 loss to Arsenal after creating plenty of chances.

But even for a team without Crystal Palace’s dismal record, a trip to Anfield is widely seen as one of the toughest fixtures on the Premier League calendar.

This Eagles side pride themselves on playing fearless, but it’s a dangerous game trying to play against the Reds.

Our prediction: Liverpool – Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace were better against Arsenal than the 2-0 scoreline would suggest, but a trip to Anfield is a whole different prospect – especially given their struggles with them over the past five years or so.

Liverpool’s backline didn’t look as tight as in previous seasons against Fulham, but there were signs at Craven Cottage that things were starting to look up further up the pitch.

Darwin Nunez could be in line for his first start after impressing twice from the bench as Klopp looks to claim a first win of the 2022/23 campaign.

Our prediction: Liverpool 3-1 Crystal Palace (11/1 at bet365)
