Man Utd v Arsenal Premier League kick off time, TV channel, news

Manchester United and Arsenal renew their rivalry at Old Trafford on Sunday’s Premier League TV programme.

It may not be a derby, but the matches between these two great clubs have given us so many memorable moments over the years – from Giggs’ FA Cup semi-final goal in 1999, to the Gunners winning the title in Manchester, the battle of Old Trafford, Pizza-gate, the 8-2 beating, and many more.

Recent editions haven’t seen the two clubs go head-to-head for the Premier League titles, but there’s still been drama and judging by the start of the 2022/23 campaign, Sunday’s meeting is unlikely to be different.

A few weeks ago Arsenal fans would have licked their lips at the chance to have one over a Man Utd side in disarray, but there has been a marked improvement since and the 2-1 win against Liverpool who started him should serve as a warning of just how dangerous this team can be under Erik ten Hag.

Even so, it’s the visitors who seem in better shape – combining irresistible attacking play with a defensive stability we haven’t associated with the Gunners in recent years.

However, they are yet to face another top six club this season and will be desperate to use Sunday to prove they are the real deal.

Our prediction: Man Utd v Arsenal

Ten Hag’s first Arsenal clash is designed to be intriguing and a useful test of where these two teams stand.

At present, Man Utd look like a team better suited to play against other top sides and that could work in their favor for visiting Arsenal.

The Gunners have had a strong start to the season, but there’s no denying their fixture list hasn’t tested them significantly yet.

Our prediction: Man Utd 1-1 Arsenal (2/13 at bet365)
