Marseille v Tottenham Champions League Kick Off Time, TV Channel, News

Tottenham travel to Marseille on Tuesday night with the top spot in Group D still up for grabs. Antonio Conte’s men will advance to the Champions League knockout stages with a win or draw in France, with a victory securing first place.

Spurs believed they snatched a crucial three points last week against Sporting Lisbon in north London, but Harry Kane’s 95th-minute strike was ruled out by VAR.

This draw leaves the top and bottom of Group D separated by just two points going into the final fixtures.

Tottenham bounced back from last week’s disappointment with a 3-2 win at Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday. They left it late again with Rodrigo Bentancur scoring in the 92nd minute, and this time the goal was awarded.

Marseille, meanwhile, will qualify for the Round of 16 if they beat Tottenham on Tuesday night. They will also top the group if Sporting Lisbon vs Eintracht Frankfurt are a draw.

Marseille lost to Frankfurt last week and they were held by Strasbourg in Ligue 1 on Saturday. However, manager Igor Tudor made some changes thinking about the Spurs game.

Our prediction: Marseille v Tottenham

Marseille must win on Tuesday and they will attack hard in front of their home fans.

While this could cause some problems for Tottenham, it will also leave plenty of space for Antonio Conte’s men to exploit on the counterattack.

The pace of Son Heung-min and Lucas Moura – with Harry Kane down deep to be the link between midfield and attack – could see Spurs succeed at the break.

Our prediction: Marseille 1-2 Tottenham (2/17 at bet365)
