Newcastle v Crystal Palace Carabao Cup Kick Off Time, TV Channel, News

We have another Premier League clash in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, with Newcastle hosting Crystal Palace.

The hosts have been flying since Eddie Howe took over, with Newcastle currently third in the Premier League behind Arsenal and Manchester City.

The Toons are guaranteed to be in the top four ahead of the World Cup break following their 4-1 win at Southampton on Sunday afternoon.

Miguel Almiron, Chris Wood, Joe Willock and Bruno Guimaraes scored at St Mary’s to give Newcastle their fourth straight Premier League victory.

Crystal Palace head into Wednesday’s game following their impressive 2-1 win at West Ham on Sunday. Palace fell behind but goals from Wilfried Zaha and Michael Olise – the latter coming in the 94th minute – gave all three points to Patrick Vieira’s men.

Palace are down to 10th in the Premier League after winning three of their last five games and they will be delighted to have a cup to match their strong season so far.

Our prediction: Newcastle v Crystal Palace

Newcastle are a winning machine at the moment and Eddie Howe won’t want to lose momentum.

He will make plenty of changes to his roster, but he will be desperate to reach the next round to finish strong before the World Cup break.

Palace will fight well but it is difficult to face Newcastle in front of their home fans.

Our prediction: Newcastle 3-1 Crystal Palace (12/1 at bet365)
