“There are few tech companies in the world with the combination of products, people and market potential like Splunk,” she wrote of her new role in a blog post. “And Splunk has only scratched the surface of its incredible growth potential. Over my career, I’ve developed channels and alliances, worked with every type of partner possible, and helped build and lead one of the largest partner ecosystems in the tech industry. Splunk is an unprecedented opportunity for me to participate in the next wave of transformation that helps customers succeed in a distributed, hybrid, and multicloud world.

Splunk partners ‘uniquely positioned’ to help customers

O’Hara said Splunk and its partners are “in a unique position” to deliver results for customers. The company has built a “highly expandable” platform. It leverages data at “unprecedented scale,” with security and observability solutions that drive real ROI for customers.

“Splunk Partners help customers adopt Splunk solutions and derive significant long-term value from additional use cases,” she said.

A Splunk spokesperson said O’Hara will be “laser focused” on the success of Splunk’s global channels and alliances.

Splunk was looking for someone who could build and develop new things. He also wanted someone who saw the transformation on a large scale.

“And we think we really found that in Gretchen,” the spokesperson said. “Splunk is in a period of tremendous growth. And we have evolved our strategy to seize the opportunity to come.
